Charotar Vaishya Suthar Bandhu Samaj, Vadodara is an organization representing the Vaishya Suthar community of the Charotar area of the Gujarat State, migrated to the Vadodara District for earning their bread. The organization was established on 26 January 1993. Presently there are over 100 families of charotar vaishya suthar community, residing in the Vadodara district. Majority of them are service class people serving in different organizations, like state and central government offices, public sector and private industries. The service class families have given up the family occupation of carpentry. Still there are some families engaged in the occupation of carpentry. Main reasons for giving up the family occupation by the community people are, lack of enough business opportunities, poor income in the business compared to the efforts and competition from the carpenters migrated from other states to Gujarat, who are doing business at a mere margin.
